Research Paper : A Study on the Women`s Hair Styles in the Corea Era -Focused of Influence by Yuan Dynasty-

Abstract
This research was conducted for studying how the hair style of Corean women had been affected by Yuan Dynasty, which had affected the late Corea Dynasty in politic and culture thoroughly for about one hundred years. Accordingly the goal is to find and recreate the hair style of Corean women in those days. For want of the data and research on the hair style of Corea Dynasty, the recreation of the hair style was based on the mural and the Buddhistic painting as well as the historical record. In those days, the hair style of Corean women, especially in the upper class, had a high form and mass of curl, furthermore the pigtail on the head underwent changes to a bold and raffine style. Whereas, the lower class women had a hair which is plaited into two longer and bigger braid; this hair style was prevalent in Yuan Dynasty. And further, the commoner women still had a traditional up style, Unjinmury. For this research was focused on a particular era that had been affected by Yuan Dynasty, the more extensive study about the hair style of Corean Dynasty affected by China is required.
