A Study on the Influence Factors of Tinea Pedis

Abstract
This study intended to grasp the actual condition of tinea pedis and to analyze the influence factors of tinea pedis by investigating a correlation between tinea pedis and cold hands and feet, blood circulation, and health condition. This study conducted questionnaire on men and women in their 20~60s from Jul 10 to Sep 20, 2015, and 60 collected data from each age group of total 300 copies were analyzed using SPSS Win 21.0. For period of contracting tinea pedis, while going to work was highest with 72.4%, and having tinea pedis on both feet was 58.3%. Also, summer showed highest induction frequency of tinea pedis with 71.8%. The experience degree of tinea pedis showed higher distribution when symptoms of cold hands and feet were more severe(p<.05), and symptoms of cold hands and feet showed significantly positive correlation with blood circulation(p<.001), itchy back(p<.001), and health condition(p<.05). Foot condition and blood circulation showed significantly positive correlation with blood circulation and degree of sweaty feet(p<.01), degree of interval between toes(p<.01), and experience level of dhobi itch(p<.01). Therefore, feeling of cold is assumed to have correlation with poor blood circulation, and symptom of cold hands and feet to be the influence factor of athlete`s foot. This study analyzed influence factors of tinea pedis in skin care area, not medical area, and the significance of this study is in how it has suggested improvement plans of tinea pedis that applied special therapy of skin care area.
