Research Paper : A Study on Knowledge and Action of Female University Students` Skin Health Care

Abstract
Changes of lifestyle and value which are from civilization improve women`s desire and expectation to beauty and has increased their interest in skin health care. The purposes of this study are to offer information for development of skin health care as understanding influence elements on skin care and to offer information which makes skin health care be systemic and effective action as groping highly effective method. The subjects were female university students in Daegu, the study researched on knowledge and action of skin health care. The study used analyzing data program, spss 11.0 to analyze collected data, and the collected data were analyzed by frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, ANOVA, regression analysis, etc. In short, the objective knowledge of skin health care had more effect on passive coping action than active coping action. In other word, the passive coping action was influenced by life experience, economic condition or specialist`s information, not objective knowledge. Therefore, female university students at the age of early 20s need to be educated to learn how to acquire correct information and practice in their daily life. Moreover, popularization circumstance of skin health care should be established so as to offer good quality of skin health care to university women at a reasonable price by fostering qualified skin health care specialists.
