Recearch Paper : Korean Beauty Tourism Selection Factors and Activation Plans in Foreign Tourists

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to draw the activation factors of beauty tourism on Chinese, Japanese and English-speaking tourists visiting Korea. A survey was carried out by a direct personal interview at the Incheon International Airport lobby and on attractions such as Itaewon and Changgyeong Garden much frequented by foreign tourists. The SPSS v. 12.0 was used to make a frequency analysis of, crosstabulation analysis of, and one-way ANOVA of 151 questionnaires. The perception of Korean beauty tourism was relatively low, and the most important fields for the activation of it were the training of human resources and the differentiation of attractions. Beauty tourism was order of being competitive and being a help to make economic growth. The reason why Korean beauty tourism isn``t activated was order of the lack of facilities, beauty tourism human resources and its programs in the beauty industry. The first therapies for Korean beauty tourism were improvement of their physical constitution and scalp massage, followed by the second-atopy treatment and, and the third-ear reflexology therapy and meridian massage. The important matter for Korean beauty tourism was order of the accessibility and communication skill. Given that they pay much attention to spa, massage and alternative medical factors to enjoy their vacation in Korean beauty tourism, various beauty-related programs need to be developed. The accessibility of them should be strengthened by taking a policy approach to attract them, and it`s time for the development of representative brand programs that can emerge for Korean beauty tourism.
